The slow gathering of knowledge.
Hello, and welcome to The Strawflower Cottage.
I'm Taylyn—a wife, EMT, horse owner, and lifelong learner who believes that a meaningful life is built through countless small decisions made with care.
Some days you'll find me working on an ambulance, while other days I'm caring for horses, planning future homestead projects, researching my newest curiosity, or dreaming about the next place to explore. I have a habit of asking questions, diving deep into research, and collecting ideas that help me build a life rooted in purpose rather than busyness.
The Strawflower Cottage is where all of those interests come together.
Here I share what I'm learning about horses, home, travel, practical skills, stewardship, and the many projects that shape everyday life. I'm not an expert with all the answers—I'm simply someone who loves learning, creating, and thoughtfully building a life that reflects the things I value most.
I'm so glad you're here, and I hope you find something that encourages or inspires you to build your own version of a life well lived.
